Raised in St Ives, Christine Brunnock is currently based in Carbis Bay. She is largely self-taught, having drawn and painted all her life. Over the years she has concentrated on painting her local environment, the Cornish coast. She has found the coastline to be a powerful and continual inspiration. She is fascinated with how the natural elements interact and how the ocean mesmerises those who watch it. She produces atmospheric paintings that portray her experiences and responses to the landscape. Christine primarily uses acrylic paint but has also used mixed media. She likes to use brushes, palette knives and any other tool that makes a mark.
