Amanda uses a multi-disciplinary approach to creating her pieces, which are both figurative and purely abstract. She incorporates a variety of media including paints, indelible inks, collage, scratching back and metallics, choosing each based on a desire to elicit a certain sensual response within the viewer. She is interested in the boundaries relating to freedom of expression around desire and sensuality, and how these are impacted by societal expectations and taboos, exploring these within her artworks.
